The Streaming Giant Chooses Ideal Star for Mr. 2 in One Piece Season 3

The Secret Organization is geared up to play a huge role in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, even if the true confrontation won’t take place until season 3, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has recently been selected.

The platform declared recently that Cole Escola will appear in the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will play Bon Clay. Bon Clay possesses the power to morph into an exact copy of anyone they’ve touched with their dominant hand. Escola, who is non-binary and goes by they/them, will depict a interpretation of that figure reimagined as non-binary identifying, as opposed to as a drag artist, in the live-action series, as in the initial comic and animated series.

This performer joins several other fresh additions who will portray Baroque Works to the screen, including head Sir Crocodile, played by the well-known actor, an emerging star as another operative, and a familiar face, who also joins the ensemble as the monarch of Alabasta.

Although this character is a major member of Baroque Works, the character won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. Given the second season likely to portray the Little Garden storyline, this signals a notable change in the schedule of the character’s debut, one that could indicate more adjustments to the narrative framework.

Escola’s blend of sharp comedic timing and emotional depth makes them a perfect fit for the part. In addition to their recent voice performance in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and multiple awards for creating and performing in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, showcasing the range they’ll add to one of One Piece’s highly regarded characters.

The streaming service’s real-life One Piece show is scheduled to come back for its second season on March 10th, 2026.
